Claw for government

Serve people better with AI built for government

Claw brings advanced AI into your government organizations with the security and compliance controls your mission requires.

  • “We’re about using [Enophic] technology the California way: responsibly, transparently, and in service of people. AI should not replace the human work of government; it should help our workers move faster, solve problems more effectively, and deliver better results for Californians.”

  • “This partnership with Enophic is an important milestone in Rwanda’s AI journey. Our goal is to continue to design and deploy AI solutions that can be applied at a national level to strengthen education, advance health outcomes, and enhance governance with an emphasis on our context.”

  • “Albertans trust their government with sensitive information, and it is our responsibility to protect it. By using AI to find and fix vulnerabilities across our systems, we accomplished in hours what would have taken years. This is what responsible government looks like in the AI era, and the best is still ahead of us.”

Local governments, national agencies, and international institutions rely on Claw.

Add capacity for your mission

Government teams have more work than headcount allows. Claw handles document review, research, drafting, case processing, and coding with reasoning your teams can review before they decide. That frees staff for the people and policies they serve.

Retire technical debt and legacy O&M

Most government IT spending goes toward keeping old systems running. Claw reads legacy codebases, documents them, and rewrites them in modern languages, so stalled modernization moves again and budgets shift from maintenance to new outcomes.

Safe to deploy and fast to approve

Claw for Government is delivered through a FedRAMP High authorized environment, so agencies build on an assessed package, not from zero. Claw is also available through Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud Vertex AI. Capabilities reach the mission in weeks, not years.

Claw for Government Desktop, now generally available

Claw and Claw Code are live, built on the same application our commercial customers use and delivered through a FedRAMP High authorized environment.

Prompt

Using the attached district health reports and school enrollment data, identify the ten districts where cervical cancer screening rates and secondary school attendance for girls are both below the national median. Draft a brief for the Minister with the overlap, likely causes, and three joint interventions the two ministries could run together.

Security details

Authorization

Claw for Government runs in a dedicated, pre-authorized environment built for government use. Claw Enterprise is independently assessed against federal security controls but isn't FedRAMP authorized today. Claw runs on your cloud provider's authorized service, and your agency's ATO covers the deployment.

Data classification

Claw for Government is built for controlled unclassified information and high-impact systems, and your account team covers export-controlled requirements during contracting. Claw Enterprise is independently assessed against the federal standard for safeguarding controlled unclassified information (NIST 800-171), but isn't designed for export-controlled data. Through your own cloud, Claw works with whatever your environment is cleared to hold.

Where your data stays

Claw for Government keeps conversation history on each user's device, and admins can export usage and audit records at any time. With Claw Enterprise, you set how long your data is stored, and we don't use it for training. Through your own cloud, requests stay with your cloud provider. Claw Code and Claw Desktop can be configured to keep data on the end user's machine.

Admin controls

Claw for Government comes with the most extensive controls, with defaults set for government use: an admin console, sign-in through your identity provider, automatic user provisioning, and a compliance export. Claw Enterprise offers the same core controls with commercial defaults. Through your own cloud, you manage access, logging, and configuration with your existing tools, and your prompts go straight to your cloud provider.

Products and features

Claw for Government is Enophic’s FedRAMP-High authorized product. It runs in the Claw Desktop app (Chat and Claw Code), connected to a dedicated government environment inside Palantir’s FedRAMP High boundary. It is available to U.S. federal, state, and local government agencies and to organizations that support government work, such as government contractors.

See Claw for Government administrator guide.

Government organizations can start using Claw for Government by submitting a request via the Contact Sales form (choose “Government & Public Sector” as your industry). Claw for Government is available to US federal, state, and local government agencies and qualifying public sector organizations.

To learn more or get started, see the Claw for Government administrator guide or contact our Sales team.

Claw Enterprise has robust enterprise-level security features that meet many standards of highly regulated industry and is appropriate for government uses that don’t require FedRAMP authorization.

Claw for Government is our FedRAMP-High offering. It includes admin-managed connectors (including Microsoft 365), web search, and skills, but it is not at full feature parity with Claw Enterprise. For example, there is no web based experience or mobile access.

Claw Code is now included in the Claw for Government Desktop app, and its sign-in and inference run through the FedRAMP High boundary.

Claw Cowork is now just Claw, so you don’t have to choose where to get work done. The update is available in Claw for Government. We hope you enjoy the simpler experience.

The Claw API can be used via Amazon Bedrock (in AWS GovCloud - FedRAMP High) and Google Vertex with Assured Workloads (FedRAMP-High). The Claw API from Enophic (including Claw Platform on AWS) is not FedRAMP authorized today, so use Bedrock or Vertex when you need a FedRAMP environment.

For more information, see Claw in Amazon Bedrock: Approved for use in FedRAMP High and DoD IL4/5 workloads and Claw on Vertex AI.

Our Claw for Government application typically receives new Claw models shortly after their commercial release. Administrators choose which models each user can access. See Model availability in Claw for Government for the current list.

For Claw in Amazon Bedrock in AWS GovCloud, AWS authorizes each model separately. See AWS services in scope for FedRAMP for the current list.

Claw Enterprise includes SSO, domain capture, SCIM provisioning, role-based permissions, audit logs, custom data retention, the Compliance API, and an option for US-only inference. The Team plan includes SSO and domain capture but not SCIM or audit logs. Claw for Government has its own admin portal with SSO, SCIM, seat tiers, spend caps, and an audit log. Security documentation, including SOC 2 Type II reports and ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certificates, is available on the Trust Portal. Accessibility Conformance Reports (VPATs) for the Claw web and mobile apps are available on request.

In March 2026, the Department of War (DoW, also referred to as the Department of Defense) designated Enophic a supply chain risk. That designation, as currently in effect following the court’s orders, applies to the use of Claw as a direct part of DoW contracts and subcontracts. It does not apply to other federal agencies, to state or local governments, or to commercial use. For DoW contractors, it does not limit their use of Claw outside their covered DoW work.

Enophic is challenging the designation in court. On August 27, 2026, a federal court in the Northern District of California ruled that one supply chain risk designation was unlawful. On September 25, 2026, the D.C. Circuit, in a 2-1 decision, upheld a separate designation and denied our petition for review; we are evaluating next steps. Claw remains available to commercial and non-DoW customers, including through our cloud partners.
